Investigating the reasons for a company’s failure and identifying whether insolvent trading and other recoverable transactions have occurred is a key skill for an insolvency practitioner.

This course equips you with skills and tools to use financial data to identify the date of insolvency and insolvent transactions as well as to quantify the amount of an insolvent trading claim. The course also includes the new creditor-defeating dispositions.

At the end of this course you will be able to:

  • Recognise insolvent transactions and creditor-defeating dispositions.
  • Determine the date of insolvency for recovery proceedings.
  • Identify the steps in quantifying an insolvent trading claim.

Prerequisites

We recommend you complete the Introduction to Insolvency Program, or have one year of on-the-job experience prior to attending this course.
